Cooke took to the pitch on Saturday minus kicker, Jarvis who
twisted an ankle in the pre-match warm up. His absence added to a lack-lustre performance by the home team who
conceded far too many penalties.

Cooke 2nd XV produced an excellent display against a strong CIYMS 2nd team to defeat them 7-5 thanks to an excellent conversion by Aaron Doherty and hard work in defence by the Cooke team. Report to follow. |

Enniskillen v Cooke
29 January 2010
Cooke should have secured a bonus point in a much improved
performance against lowly placed Enniskillen. The visitors started the game confidently but lost flanker Frazer in the
first 5 minutes due to a pulled hamstring. Glover came on as replacement. Undeterred, the Belfast
team took hold of the game and were rewarded with fifteen minutes played. A clearance from a ruck on the Enniskillen 22
was charged down by hooker Hendron. The
ball was collected by Cooke out-half Wilson who sprinted over in the
corner. Jarvis added the conversion. |
